Welcome Center and Ranger Station

  • Jointly operated by the Inyo National Forest, Mammoth Lakes Tourism, the National Park Service, and the nonprofits Eastern Sierra Interpretive Association, the Welcome Center and Ranger Station is a worthwhile first stop on a visit to the area, featuring an excellent selection of local books, guides, recreation maps and gifts. Welcome Center staff and volunteers are on hand daily to provide the latest trail and fire conditions, camping information, bear-canister rentals, informational brochures and wilderness permits.

    The Welcome Center and Ranger Station are located at 2510 Main Street, Mammoth Lakes on the east side of town.
