Horseshoe Woods 0.8 mi

  • The western segment of Horseshoe Woods follows an old road bed on what was a portion of the Horseshoe Lake Loop. It then continues as a rolling contour trail over a nicely wooded ridge, through a predominately lodgepole pine forest to Lake Mamie and connects with Mamie Woods

Horseshoe Woods connects with Mamie Woods and the Lake George Path on the eastern side of the trail and to the Lakes Basin Path on the western terminus.

The Mammoth Lakes community provided recommendations for trail development in the Mammoth Lakes Basin as part of the “Lakes Basin Special Study” in 2011. This trail alignment was completed in the summer of 2022 and provides connectivity between Horseshoe Lake and Lake Mamie.
